Minimum & Recommended System Requirements of Fallout 4. I know that load times aren't exactly the normal sort of issue that gets fixed by an ENB, but this seems like an opportunity to provide a fix for a problem, assuming it's not all just in our imagination. How possible is this? Given that Fallout 4 is fairly long in the tooth now (and with Fallout 76 and 5 around the corner) is it likely we're going to see another version of ENB with that sort of feature any time soon?Īnyway, just some musings. So, I guess my second question is "Am I crazy, or should I just use the mod? Or, is there a better solution I am missing?" It would be great if there was a setting in the FPS limiter part of the Fallout 4 ENB to disable the FPS limit during load screens, seeing as I'd effectively be using a proxy dll and a mod to enable and disable a feature within the ENB. Seeing as I already run without VSYNC, I don't really want to use Load Accelerator. I have done some rudimentary testing and it does indeed seem to improve load times to disable VSYNC (I have it disabled because I use a FreeSync monitor and have Enhanced sync enabled in Radeon Settings) and the FPS limiter in ENB. Load Accelerator ( ) seems to be popular and there is much anecdotal evidence that this resolves load times. I guess my first question is "Does this make sense to anyone? Is this, at least in part, a real cause of poor load times?". I have done some research, and it seems that some modders and community members claim that this issue is made worse by having VSYNC and/or an FPS limit set in ENB interacting with the loading screens to result in slow load times.
I run it off an SSD with a modern CPU and GPU, etc, etc. Bethesda should send you every game they releases for ever as a thankyou, at the very least.įallout 4's load times suuuuuck. Firstly, just want to thank Boris for all the hard work writing fixes for these games.
